In May of 2002, seventeen people in Larimer County came together and formed an organization with the mission to support youth, ages 18 through 21 years, as they exit out-of-home placement with limited parental help. The organizers and current volunteers represent many backgrounds and professions, but share concern that the transitional path from out-of-home placement into independent living is a critical, and very difficult period, for former foster youth. Today, our vision, mission and commitment remain the same, but our goals have increased.
